The iDRAG Race Rules

It’s not just about how fast you go. It’s about how you go fast.
With an original appearing street legal American Muscle Car.

This race is intended for production based street legal classic muscle cars that are modified to perform drag race duties with engine technology limited to production based engine blocks and cylinder heads that were developed during the 1960s and 1970s.

The original equipment type dual plane intake manifold is also required for the Modified Stock & Super Modified race classes.

Classic Muscle Cars racing in this competition are required to use street legal tires and must be equipped with functioning head lights, tail lights, turn signals and a horn that works in order to prove that the car is capable of street legal driving.

American Muscle Cars

The American Muscle Car Challenge is a drag race event for American made Classic High Performance Muscle cars that were originally manufactured during the 1960’s and 1970’s in the USA and Canada. Race Format

This drag race is an acceleration contest where two cars line up at the starting line to race The race starts on a green light or an arm drop which is a hand signal to start the race The first car that passes the finish line wins the race and proceeds to race in the next competition A car that has a false start or a red light loses the race and is eliminated from further competition.

Starting on a green light and crossing the finish line first wins the race The winner of each race proceeds to race in the next round of competition.

Elapsed Time and Speed may not be seen after the race and are not a factor in winning this street style race.

Championship Race Winner

The two cars that enter the final round of race competition must race 3 times The 2nd and 3rd final round race will start directly after the end of the previous race The American Muscle Car that successfully races 3 times and wins two races is the winner of the race A car that wins the first two races and is not able to finish the 3rd race loses the race.

It is necessary to prove the race winner is a street legal classic muscle car capable of operating for extended periods and not just a drag race car. The winner is required to demonstrate the street legal muscle car is able to operate for extended periods of time by running 3 consecutive races.

The American Muscle car Challenge winner must race 3 full final round races and win at least 2 of 3 drag races.
